Linen is very durable and stronger wet than dry. You can generally machine wash linen on a warm to cycle. Wash dark colors separately. Our linen products have all been washed before being shipped but may still shrink slightly.
Shake and straighten out wet linen items and use a cloth line or cloth rack to let them air dry. Linen dries fast and won't need much if any pressing after line drying. We recommend not to tumble dry linen. Linen fibers can break in the tumbler and create permanent creases and frayed edges, especially along folds.
Line dried linen has a distinct crinkled texture that looks great as it is. If you want to smooth and soften the linen, you can press it using a warm to hot iron. It is easier to press linen when it is damp, so iron your linen before it has completely dried or spray it lightly with water before pressing.
